Heatwave Review
I found the film Heatwave very captivating because it truly captured all the emotions that was found in the Watts Riots during that time. The film captured all the oppression the black men were facing. This film was very good because the conflict was accurately represented through the plot; for example, the physical conflict in the riots and internal conflicts in Bob's career as a reporter. Bob Richardson's conflict shined light on how the truth tends to be interpreted many ways, but in the end there is only one truth. This film showed me that as a journalist we cannot let our emotions shape the story a certain direction- the only direction is the direction the truth leads you.

Once again, here is another post about ebola. From the NYTimes, an article with the recent where-about of the Ebola epidemic are analyzed. With video and charts to present the information gathered, readers can clearly get the information they may be looking for. This seems like a reliable article.
This article on Washington post seems accurate except for one thing, the poll the article is based on. Statistically, voluntary samples (where people voluntarily give their opinion) tend to have bias results towards the negative side, so the result may not be so accurate. Aside from that the article was well written, including the way the direct quote from President Barak Obama was used.
This website has definitely proven that there are some realllyyyyy bad reporters. It made me laugh from how ridiculous is, but the sad part is that some people are actually believing it. After you read the article, make sure to take a look at the comments as well.

For the first time in the last two months I actually have some time to spare after doing all my homework, studying, chores, and some college stuff. One thing that I am certain is that I TOTALLY underestimated this year; and now I feel like a chicken running around with no head. It is incredibly difficult to balance everything and still have energy to put up a smile. I think the only reason why I can wake up in the morning is because of those certain people who know how to cheer me up. That's when you know you are doing things right, when you are around those kind of people. I'm not going to say who, but everyone knows who "those people" are to them.
Although it's a pain to answer a billion questions about ourselves for college, I believe it's necessary. We need this moment to relefct on our personas. Most people may not even know where to start with these questions because they don't know who they are, and that's fine because this is still the begining of the remarcable life we have ahead of us. Who we are now may not be important in a year or two because most likley we will all change after we go to college. I for one, am so looking forward to change. We will all be meeting new people everyday and finally be in charge of everything we do.
Well let me wrap it up with one more comment. It may sound strange but no matter how much we change we should still stick to the people we are deep down. I may be contradicting myself but it makes sense, to me at least. Goodnight.

Hard News Staff
YES, the page-turning hard news, that captivates the student of Bell High School is what our staff is going to be able to do. It seems like everyone in our staff has distinct interests so it will be interesting what each one of us has to write about. Our staff is the best because we have a smaller group compared to everyone so we will be able to communicate more efficiently; therefore, we wont write about the same events or topics. Hopefully it also means we will be able to reach out to the diverse crowds Bell holds.

Chocolate Cake CAN Strengthen Your Brain
This article on the Huffington Post was a very accurate example of the kind of articles I'd like to write as a journalist for the Bell Chimes. I want to manipulate learning so it can be funny and entertaining. Firstly, the topic caught my attention, this was the writer's way of being humorous. I want to teach Bell students quick tricks that could make them a better person, but not like a good or bad person, but a new and improved version of themselves, with better habits. But I also want to make them laugh... or chuckkle, it doesn't really have to be full laugh. Secondly, this article didn't require much (aside from the delicious cake), it only calls for your mind. Its quick and easy and I think students will find the new and fun techniques interesting.
